Violet Blue, whose sexual blog tiny nibbles
is well known to those who are familiar with
erotic fiction, was one of Wired's 2005 Ten Sexiest Geeks.
Now that 2006 is almost in the books, Wired is looking for
nominees for their Ten Sexiest Geeks of 2006.
There may be some argument over whether the abundant usage of the term 'geek'
proves that people have completely gone overboard with the word. There are
still a lot of smart, even technologically gifted, people
that do not want to be called geeks. Nowadays, anyone who's smart or good at technology or heck -
just adept at blogging - is considered a 'geek'.
And just to be clear, there are plenty of 'geeks' who
are terrible with computers. Maybe a better term here would be a 'wiz', and not just for
people who figured out how to open a web browser.
