.Doc files (an abbreviation of 'document') is a file extension for word processing documents;
most commonly for Microsoft Word. For example, a Microsoft Word document could be saved as
"Story.doc". This is usually the default file format when saving a file from Microsoft Word.
Sensorotika Press does not accept .DOC files for story submissions, because viruses
and executable computer code can be placed within .DOC files. Only .RTF or .TXT files are accepted.
Most word processing applications (such as AbiWord, StarOffice or OpenOffice) can save
files as "RTF" (an abbreviation of 'Rich Text File') or just ".txt" files (an abbreviation of 'text' files). Txt files
have little or no formatting.
To specifically save a file with the ".doc",".txt" or ".rtf" extension from Microsoft Word, select
"File > Save As..." and then select the correct type from the drop-down list titled "Save as type"
(see the example).
